Alondra Aguilera nació y creció en Wichita, KS y desde pequeña ha estudiado español. Desde niña, ella ha viajado mucho entre los Estados Unidos y México. Ella asistió a la escuela Horace Mann de Kinder a 8vo grado y se graduó de la preparatoria East con un diploma del Bachillerato Internacional. Alondra asistió a Wichita State University, donde se acaba de graduar con una licenciatura en educación de español para PreK a 12vo grado. Alondra empezará a dar clases de español en la secundaria Truesdell este agosto que viene. Al trabajar con Alce su voz como asistente de investigación, Alondra a tenido muchas oportunidades de conectar con otros educadores y aprender sobre la importancia de ser bilingüe y ayudar a la comunidad. En el futuro, Alondra espera seguir su educación con una maestría con la que pueda apoyar a la comunidad latina e hispanohablante de Kansas.

Alondra Aguilera was born and raised in Wichita, KS, and has studied Spanish since she was very young. As a child, she traveled a lot between the United States and Mexico. She attended Horace Mann from Kindergarten to 8th grade and graduated from East High with an International Baccalaureate diploma. Alondra attended Wichita State University, where she just graduated with a bachelor’s in education in PreK-12 Spanish Education. Alondra will also begin teaching at Truesdell Middle School this upcoming August. While working with Alce Su Voz as a research assistant, Alondra has had many opportunities to connect with other educators and learn about the importance of being bilingual and helping the community. In the future, Alondra hopes to continue her education with a master’s that she can use to support the Latine and Hispanic community in Kansas.
